Dr. J. Scott Brown, the founder of
Brown Chiropractic received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in 1984 from Life College
where he graduated Cum Laude and a member of the National Dean's List. He has continued
his education and added many post graduate certifications which include Impairment and
Disability Rating and Industrial Rehabilitation.Dr. Brown has acted as Team Doctor for the University of Tennessee Ski
Team, The Knoxville Rugby Club and The Knoxville Cherokees Professional Hockey Team. With
his certifications in Rehabilitation and Impairment and Disability Evaluation coupled with
his extensive experience in treating sports injuries, Dr Brown has become highly sought
after for the treatment and evaluation of auto, work related and sports injuries.
Dr. Brown has been asked to speak to numerous professional
organizations including The Tennessee Valley Chiropractic Association and Physician's
Academy in Dallas, TX. He has also been published on several occasions including articles
in East Tennessee Healthstyles, American Chiropractic Association Journal and The American
Chiropractor.
Dr. Brown's special interests include the treatment of headaches
and disc injuries with the use of a specialized technique of "Painless Long Axial
Adjusting". It's no wonder so many people refer to Dr. Brown as "The Disc
Doctor".
On a personal note: Dr. Brown enjoys many hobbies and sports
including fishing, boating, wrestling and horseback riding. He is also a huge Tennessee
football fan, GO VOLS!

Dr. Sean Newport
received his Undergraduate Study at the University of Florida, where he received a degree
in Cardiopulmonary Technology. He furthered his education at Life Chiropractic College
where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree along with a B.S. Degree in Nutrition.
Since that time he has received numerous professional certifications in Advanced
Diagnostic and Clinical Procedures. Dr. Newport is a member of The Tennessee Valley
Chiropractic Association and The American Chiropractic Association and is certified by The
National Board of Chiropractic.
Dr. Newport's special interest
include the treatment of children and childhood scoliosis, along with adult spinal
conditions including neck pain, back pain and sciatica. He also enjoys the treatment of
joint conditions of the shoulders, arms, hands, legs and feet, including vast experience
and success in the painless and non-surgical treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome.
On a personal note: Dr. Newport excels in many hobbies and sports
including football, baseball, golf and music. He loves watching University of Tennessee
sports and playing with his daughter Haley!

Dr.
Charles H. Means received his Undergraduate Study in Pre-Med at the
University of Pittsburgh. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at Life
Chiropractic College in Marietta, GA, where he also completed his Chiropractic Internship.
He has continued his education and received certifications and licenses from the
Physician's Academy in Dallas, TX, The National Board of Chiropractic, The Pennsylvania
Board of Chiropractic and the Tennessee Board of Chiropractic.Dr. Means has enjoyed a great reputation for his
success in the treatment of low back pain, leg pain and pinched nerves. So great in fact
that he was a Featured Physician in the book "The Miracle of Chiropractic" where
his miraculous results in treating low back and leg pain were published. He also takes
great pride in treating chronic severe cases where the patient has been previously told
"There is nothing we can do for you, you will just have to learn to live with
it" or "It's just in your mind".
On a personal note: Dr. Means enjoys many hobbies including
playing a mean guitar and collecting vintage cars.

Dr. Ryan J. Lounsberry joined our staff
in April
Dr. Lounsberry states that the reason he became a
Chiropractor was that, "1 want to help people in a natural way". Here at Brown
Chiropractic, he enjoys working with children, geriatrics and athletes. Dr. Lounsberry
enjoys spending his weekends and holidays fishing, backpacking snowskiing, swimming and
all sports. Dr. Lounsberry is currently single and enjoys the hills of East Tennessee. |
